Pet Behaviour Consultations

Behavioural Counselling is recommended for dogs showing problematic behaviour which ultimately affects the dog’s and / or owner’s quality of life e.g. aggressive or destructive behaviour. Behavioural Counselling aims to identify the cause of the problem and subsequently establish a rehabilitation programme. The Behaviourist works in conjunction with your Vet to ensure that there are no underlying medical problems and to coordinate any medical treatment.

The initial session, which generally lasts between 2-4 hours at your home or in the Pet Therapy Clinic, is followed up by a written diagnosis and behaviour modification programme, a copy of which is sent to your Vet. Follow up support regarding progression is generally carried out by phone and e-mail.

Pet Insurance which covers behaviour work will pay for the consultation less your normal policy excess.

I also consult for Cat & Rabbit behavioural problems.

One to one lessons

For those owners who either due to lack of time or because their dog is not able to take part in a group class, I am able to offer individual lessons in their home.

Dog training classes from puppy to advanced

Classes are held on a Tuesday and Thursday evening in Bridge of Weir and on a Saturday morning at the Pet Therapy Clinic in the South Side of Glasgow.

Expert Witness Reports

I have been called on several occassions to court to appear as an expert witness. In most cases this has been invaluable to my clients and has resulted in a positive outcome for them and their pets.

If you and your pet are the subject of criminal or civil legal proceedings and require an assessment of your dog's behaviour, I can provide you with a comprehensive report for court purposes.
